My humble abode has cedar siding with solid body stain. I have some dirt and some black spot mold on the stain. Nothing too nasty, but I want to wash it off and slow/stop the growth.

I have a power washer, but to honest I don't think high pressure power washing wood siding with otherwise great paint is 110% wise. I will use the power washer for rinsing or initial clean in wide fan mode, as required.

So - what are your ideas and specifically anyone have any home brew solutions?

You can ust the power washer to wash the house... IF YOU STAND WAY BACK and just use it to wet the siding.

That's what I did to clean mine, along with a %5 bleach/water solution and some TSP. cover the shrubs w/ poly film and spray away, a soft bristle brush for the tough spots helps to.

OH,, starting on the bottom and working your way up helps prevent streaking.

GOOD LUCK
