I agree, the Dexos spec is a sturdy oil and good baseline for judging oil on, and if it meets that, I have no issues with it for my needs.

Auto Zone branded oil was Amalie Oil.
I have some AZ syn in my Scion now with no concerns for a 5000 mile OCI. It is a Dexos approved oil also.
Now that it is STP oil, not sure who the maker is (but it also is a Dexos spec oil).
