Helen nailed it. I don't even have or carry an "ATM" card. I carry cash as necessary. Yes I have credit cards. One for family/travel, one for Amsoil, one for SBP. I will say the points lately are pretty rewarding.


But where'd you get your cash from?

I don't believe this is true. I always pay off my cards every single month and I see activities on my credit reports.

Correct, it still shows up. I had a credit report pulled today and my AMEX balance from last month that was fully paid still showed up.

With that said, it is much easier to use a true credit card because of situations like this. It also helps build up your credit history. I think my cards certainly have helped me in that.
 
I was given that advice is almost 10 years ago (sub prime mortgage heydays), so things might have changed since then, very true.
