My last electric bill was $40.

Mine is never that low! In the summer it's at it's worst, around $350 every two months. And in the winter it's almost $300 for two months as well, since we're running more lights more often, plus we usually run a few little electric heaters in the colder spots of our house too.

Yep, my techs are dying. I brought around popsicles and water to everyone just to try to cool them down. It's going to be 96 here tomorrow with high humidity too! This has been a warm August. I wish I was in the Michigan U.P. right now.

Mine ranges from $15-25 year round - whats an A/C...is that similar to a sea breeze?

It hit 100* again today here in the foothills of the Smokey Mnts. I saw 107* on the OAT in the truck last week; never been that hot around here for so long. 3 weeks now.

This heat wave is supposed to break next week though, and cool down to the low 90's.
About time.....

My electric bill last month was around $200. Before you Cali boys start bragging, remember my $220k house on an acre of land costs you a couple of Million in San Fran.

I had to take my mother this afternoon to pick up her new eyeglasses. She can't get in my 300M, so we took the Olds van. As we were driving through town I looked up at the overhead console and the thermometer said 118F. That's the highest temp I've ever seen on that thermometer. When we got back I checked the thermometer in the back yard and it said 112F, so that 118F on a busy and hot city street was probably correct.

I'm sure next summer, or the summer after, or the summer after that, or at least the summer after that, but definitely the summer after that, the average temperature will be within the expected range.
