doubt it. they bought it to make a quick profit, not to provide better service!
did Honeywell make it any better when they bought Fram as part of AlliedSignal?

nope, didn't think so...

No, think the orange can will be as Rank as it's always been. Just won't have the Honeywell name tied to it anymore. New owner's name seems fitting of orange can.

Anyone else catch this:

"Late last year, Rank agreed to acquire UCI International, an auto parts company, for $605 million"

UCI...as in the company that owns Champion Laboratories...

I predict one of two things will occur:

Either

A. We will start seeing the orange e-core of doom

or

B. Champ Labs will be shut and absorbed into the collective.

They are now preparing to match Fram orange paint in CHINA! Do you really think that this new zealand guy that bought it will keep production in the US? FWIW--Oldtommy

XG is an excellent filter. TG has what the PH needed to be.

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

Can you imagine walking into the store and there is only 1 brand of oil filter?

I foresee layoffs and mega-outsourcing. We'll have 1 oil filter with 20 paint jobs and pseudo-brand names.

From what I've seen when foreigners buy up US companies they don't improve the quality any and cut jobs. The US is being bought up piece by piece. One more reasons and about the only reason that was left to buy Fram or Prestone is gone. What would Labman have to say about Frams now if he was around?

The USA corps do the exact same thing. Most people do not care or have a clue.

Could all the bashing of Fram have anything to do with that? Sorry if it did.
