Honda mower carb recall

Last year I bought a new self propelled Xenon (plastic) deck Honda mower. It was fine all summer, started first pull. Cold weather hit and it was near impossible to start. I'd pull sometimes 15 times before it would start. Oh well, such is life. I mowed all winter and now it's hot and starting fine.

Two days ago I got a recall notice from Honda about hard cold starting. It's a free fix (carb replacement) at any Honda dealership that sells mowers.

I just got the same recall notice. Mine has never been hard to start and I mow all year long. Maybe because it's always garaged is the reason I have no problems. If the local Honda retailer gives me any hassels about this, I will take back to HD and get a new, hopefully updated model.

Can anyone post any details on the recall like years/models covered?

Craig, I don't have any "details", just the letter from Honda, no specifics. You could ck their web site and see if they elaborate on it any.
