two vehicles in question, trying to decide which oils to run in both.
2008 Accord, 2.4 liter, currently running Castrol Syntec 5W20. I see they sell Castrol 0W20 at AAP, and Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W20 at WM. Which oil has shown to have a better UOA in this particular engine?
Next vehicle is a 2009 1500 Chevy with the 5.3, out of warranty for a while now , has 137k miles. Seen on here that the vortecs tend to have a better UOA with a 40 grade, which would be the best oil to run out of the following: GC 0W30, Belgian Castrol 0W40, Mobil 1 0W40, or Castrol Syntec 5W40 Euro Formula? will stick with a 5k oci in the honda and go down to 15% OLM on the Chevy.
