Does anyone here have a home safe? Does anyone have any recommendations? Liberty Safe, Ft. Knox safe, and Champion Safe are the 3 that I have looked at thus far. I will store a few guns in there as well as paperwork, valuables, etc. Any ideas or opinions on what to look for and what to stay away from? Or, are they just not worth it?
Also, any recommendations on where to install one in a single story house with a partial basement, partial crawl space, & garage?

I work on a different principle...preemptive in nature.

Don't have anything that people would covet, then they won't steal it...then to the rest of the world, you'll appear to have been robbed of all that's valuable.

My father once visited someone in Newark, NJ for work once, as part of his job. The guy came to the door with a gun, and inside the door was a complete mess, junky and in shambles. As soon as you go through the french doors out of that room into the 'real' house, it was beautiful, well kept, and clean and fancy.

Giving the impression that nothing is there that is of use or value is the best key, IMO.

Looks like you are not getting a whole lot of information. Are you worried about fire or theft. If you are worried about both-I would look at hiding the safe behind a false wall.
