Wow-I must have missed how much insurance is now for cars! (or something like that) Wowzers!
Okay, here I go. I'm getting insurance quotes for our new house in the coming month. Things are looking good, and the prices out there are actually pretty good. Then, I look to the auto insurance part. Bam! the bottom falls out. I got quotes that were 400-1000 more than I pay now...HUH? Now, I know michigan sucks when it comes to auto insurance, but I thinking I missed something somewhere...
My plan is pretty simple...basic full coverage policy with my Cobalt and wife's cavalier, with simple plpd for my other Cavalier, which sees limited driving throughout the year. Besides buying a house (in which I'm sure my credit took a slight dip), nothing has changed. This just blow my mind. I realize prices have gone up, but this is just silly. The city that I'm moving to does increase my rates, but only slightly. But not a major jump.....
I'm still calling my insurance places for quotes, but for the love of pete, I hope the auto end of the plan is not going to be like the current ones. Also makes me fear for the rates of newer cars at this point....
Thank you for listening to my vent...it's been a rough day...
