I don't use those kits anymore. Get some 1000, 1500, 2500 and 3000 grit sand paper and wet sand in that order. Follow that up with Meguiars Ultimate Compound applied via dual action polisher, then top with whatever protectant you want. I've done this with excellent results.

Keep using Plasti-X periodically then you won't have a need for the multi step kits for a long time.

Looks like I'll just grab a bottle of Meguiar's gold class carnauba plus spray wax and seal the headlights with it.

Sealing isn't the issue, it's the UV rays which those don't protect against. They will start getting cloudy again in 6 months.

And discussion I've had with people who have used the kit reveal that the same thing happens when you don't polish and use the clearcoat wipes.

Just going to pick this up from autozone and use it to polish the lights whenever they cloud up again.

6 months later and no clearcoat. Headlight is still crystal clear.
