Green Bay - now I know why you dumped this loser. I'm the first one to say, "hey it's not the coach's fault."

But this time it IS.

Sure Seahawks have some fundamental problems.....the only person it doesn't seem obvious to is Holm-I'mafreakingidiot-gren!!!

Bonehead play calling from the sideline, to not addressing players heads and hearts not in the game - that's Mike!!

I'm now rooting for the Pats!

Agree 100%. Holmgren is the problem. Eagles/Pats SuperBowl.

Was disppointed the Chargers lost. What a game that was.

Holmgren sure, but it wouldn't hurt if receivers would actually catch the ball once in a while. And kind of idiot has Jerry Rice on the field and doesn't even look in his direction?
BTW I live less than half a mile from the Seahhawks headquarters and I see some of them around from time to time. I know, big thrill, huh?
I'm a Raiders guy anyway, so I'm keeping quiet this year....

Yes I think that Atlanta is going to win in Philly because the weather is so mild.

Coach saw those idjits drop balls all year........yes it isn't his direct fault of the coach all the time..........but Oldman said it pretty nicely.

It's 14-0 Colts in the 1st qtr. This is the real Colts team not the 2nd team that played last week. I was a big Marino fan but me thinks Manning is the best ever.

Just trying to hope for something different. They were great. Will see how they play outside next week.

as a packers fan (ouch tonight), i think holmgren's success was largely a function of his staff. andy reid, steve mariuchi, mike sherman, sherm lewis, ron wolf as gm, and there were several others who were quite good as well.

with favre at qb and reggie white on defense, they were fairly formidable.

holmgren's ego got the best of him, resulting in the mess at seattle right now. it's hard to assemble that kind of talent, let alone maintain it for a long time.

jmho.

Come on the man is so great they named a road after him in GB

. A few years ago I bumped into him at the jewelry store my coworkers were apauled that I didn't ask for an autograph or something heck I didn't say hi. Living just 30 minutes from GB and living in GB for 3 years I have heard enough about the Packers and Reggie and Brett and everyone else these cheesheads think can walk on water

. Can I please get a break from it on the OIL forum please please please.

Go Jets. I thought they blew it when Barton fouled Brees. It's hard to fault Barton since he's carried them all year. It's a shame the refs almost let a foul (that wasn't flagrant) decide the game. I like Herm Edwards but what terrible clock management allowing the clock to run down so that if SD scored his team had no time to respond. BTW,whichever AFC team goes to the SB will beat the Eagles. They are the best team in a bad division.Several AFC teams are better.

Wasn't Holmgren also the general manager who selected the wide receivers? I agree that he had too much talent in Green Bay and everyone thought he could coach. Same with San Diego, if you have a coach who cannot win in the big games he has to go. I think that Denver is going to surprise the Colts today and win in Indy.

man, i vacationed in door county (the sticky uppy part right above green bay) just so i could visit lambeau field and the packer hall of fame.

paid way too much for tickets last year so i could go and watch a game in lambeau.

got satellite radio so i could hear the games that weren't televised.

bought a half pack of lions season tickets so i could see green bay.

but what holmgren did to the pack is borderline treason...

maybe he and mackenzie should get together...

go pack! (next year)

I'm with Markc o this one. I cant blame a coach for his players dropping balls that hit them in the chest! (GO FALCONES)

Colts again think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Its easy to beat up on weaker teams regularly and look good doing it, thats the Colts mantra. I enjoyed watching Manning cry in the AFC Championship against the Pats last year. Lets see what happens this year.

Pabs,

Holmgren blew it! The Rams are not that good and should have been beat on the road against the Seahawks.

Amkeer, I'm not a Colts fan but you gotta love Mannings competitiveness. If the Colts lose (and they probably will) it will be because of their porous defense. Did any of you see the Randy Moss interview. What a POS. I wouldn't have that ....bag on my team if he played for free. Thank god there are classy team players like the Jets Curtis Martin and Pitts Jerome Bettis out there.
