Someone hit my rear bumper really hard today while I was parked on campus and scraped it all up. They also hit it hard enough to crack the paint to where it's starting to spider-web and chip off. My rear bumper was in mint condition, which is hard to come by with a 94-96 Integra. Getting it replaced would cost an arm and a leg with OEM parts and I don't want a hideous body kit, so I'm gonna have to drive around with a crippled bumper now

Anyone else have this happen to them and have anything happen afterwards? I filed a police report even though I doubt our insurance will cover anything... more mad than anything right now. I can't believe someone would hit my bumper that hard enough to damage the entire left side and not even leave a note..

That sucks...it seems to happen around here too...

I still remember a while back when I parked my old S-10 against a wall to keep other cars from getting too close. Plenty of space to park next to me. Then this chick ina ZX2 parks right next next to my truck-so I couldn't get in. Then she opened up her door so hard that it dented my cab. Then, she looked at me and smiled......

Sometimes when my girlfriend and I are downtown walking around in the evening, I've seen cars back into each other, fairly hard even and with trailer hitches and not even care... I would've been so upset if I was in the car getting it. One of them if I remember right was an almost brand new car!

Dude, somebody stole a mirror off my car once when I was parked on campus in college. Do you know how hard it was to find a replacement side mirror for a '99 stratus in 2005? I never replaced it.

I've been looking around for used bumpers but every single one I've found is the wrong color and it's all scratched/scraped up. I haven't seen one mint condition Integra bumper... argh! I wouldn't have imagined finding a stratus mirror would've been that hard, I see those cars around all the time here, but I believe you... I remember trying to find a drivers side visor for my old Altima and that proved to be mission impossible so I never replaced that in the 2 years I owned it. I wouldn't have thought it would've been that hard in those cars either, since I see those everywhere as well.

My buddy has a pretty nice GMC pickup. About 2 years ago, he got a big dent in the door and extended-cab panel. I asked him about it, and he said someone hit him in the campus parking lot and drove off. I actually witnessed someone else hit his truck myself, but they just bumped into his trailer hitch and didn;t do any damage. That's exactly why I park far, far away in the back corner of the lot at my school.

please tell me you ordered your girlfriend/wife to attack! I would be mad. very mad.

Ask the collage security if you can look at the security tapes. At least you could tell what type and color of vehicle if the incident is within view. If you can find that out then go on a seek and destroy (oops) mission. Then if the vehicle had damage that could match yours then wola!

You'd be surprised how much of a collage campus is recorded.

Sorry to hear about the incident.

Bill

That sucks.

Someone took out the rear passenger quarter, tail light, and bumper of my Civic in my apartment parking lot around this time last year. I posted about it here. I was infuriated. Good thing I had decent insurance to cover it. It costed $1400 to fix I believe.

Bill has a really, really good idea. Campus parking lots are usually covered by camera's, and yours shouldn't be any different.

Scary.

My mom just had a hit and run in the Saturn yesterday. It wasn't too bad, but annoying nonetheless.

Sorry for the late reply, been very busy lately with school stuff. I talked to the university police department and they claim they don't have any surveillance in the parking areas. What a joke... and they charge you $150+ just to park there!

Solo - Thanks for the link. I've looked into getting a front non-OEM bumper before, the only downside is with the Integra it has a large indentation of the word "Integra" on the bumper which most (that I've seen) non-OEM's don't have on it, and I'd like it to look like the OEM one in that regard. When I get more time I'll look at their site closer. Since the price is probably 50% of that of the OEM bumper, I might just go with that if I do decide to replace it. I noticed when looking closer that they hit it hard enough to pull the metal away from the bumper clip so it can no longer be fastened in that area unless new metal is welded in.

Every time I wash my car I find another scratch or paint from another car. This morning I found some red paint on the front passenger door. Doesn't bother me that much but it just shows that people don't give a rats [censored] about anything.
