Hip replacement

Recovery is rather quick with modern dr.

My wife is a PT and has folks standing within two days at her hospital. I am unsure how long overall recovery is.

Hearing all the success everybody is having makes me wish my mother's replacement went that well. It's been almost a year now and still is not 100%. Took almost 3 weeks to even get her partially mobile. 6 months to do half the task she used to. This was with home and outpatient therapy.

Sometimes it happens. About 15 years ago, my uncle had a hip replaced by a surgeon in Nebraska. It took months before he felt comfortable with it. He then had his other hip replaced by a surgeon in Kansas. His recovery was very quick. When asked about it, he said "Well, one doctor was a Husker and the other was a Jayhawk." it just so happens he is a big Kansas Jayhawk fan.
