I was wondering if this oil by defition would have a strong additive pack. What makes it high milage. The 5w30 (new car formula) has shown to be a little weak.

go with the Amsoil 5w30, that's the best oil u can find for such price, or u can go with 10w30 or 10W-40. they go for around 6 dollars a quart

Supertech snyth is priced much lower than Amsoil. It's less than $14 for a 5 quart bottle.

I believe the thread-starter here is questioning the Supertech high mileage syn-blend.

As far as I know, Supertech does not bottle a full synthetic high mileage oil.

I have not seen a ST high mileage synthetic either. But I do use the 5w30 in my truck and it has over 102,000 miles. No usage at all.

There is the 5w30 newer car formula. THen there is the 10/30 full sythetic high milage formula. It states formulated with special additives to keep engine cleaner and so on.

ST Synthetic has the words high mileage on the bottle. I'm not sure what that means.

The 10W30 is ACEA A3 rated, rare for a _W30. That means it hold visocsity under HTHS 150C test.

Would this be a good thing in an engine that is hard on oil. (2.7 chrysler).

There is 10/30 full sythetic high milage formula. It uses a POA base with 10-15% tradesecret ester plus a tradesecret additive. I just found a MSDS on it. I have been using Valvoline maxlife full synthtic but not anymore. The Valcoline uses hyrdocracked oil.

Lets see that MSDS

Super tech 10 w 30 is listed as a high mileage formula on the bottle.
Super tech 5 w 30 synthetic does not have high mileage on the bottle.
I believe the synthetic oil is made by warren distribution.
I would like to see an actual msds from walmart if anyone has a copy.

I've used super tech synthetic for years and none of my vehicles has lost much oil during oci's.
I really don't care if its poa or not,it's fine oil.

Jessealan is correct...I've noticed the same exact thing..the Super Tech Full Synthetic 5w30 states newer car formula..and the same Super Tech synthetic in the silver jug in 10w30 states high mileage formula and carries the energy concerving rating. The price of Super Tech compared to the others is dirt, and makes me wonder if I should use their 10w30 in my HM car at 14.00/jug.... ???
