I wish to replace the wimpy '60s round high/low halogen sealed beams with a kick-@$$ H4(?).
1. What is a reasonable replacement for the sealed beam,
what has the best fresnel?
2. What is the most recommended H4(?)
yes, I know about the need to put in relays!

A follow-on dummy question.
are H4 the only reasonably priced option for the 7" round high/lows?

Yes. By far the best lighting upgrade you can do. Don't fall for any of those silly "Diamond" headlights. Just get a good set of E-Code 7" lamps with the std wattage H4 bulb. I guarantee you will be pleased.

thanks!
I believe that this is the identical solution I used for my '73 VW Dasher. I was curious of there was any advances in 30 years. I was very pleased, except for the aiming problem back then with that solution. Well, it also freaked out 3 state's auto inspection stations from '74 to '83.
