My mistake for not catching it earlier. I will take the heat on this one. Keep posting and let us see your UOA when you get it.

Thanks for the advice Vetteman, I will stick with what is working until UOA says other wise. How about using the AMO 10w-40 in my 3cyl. Diesel tractor. I use it in the hot summer and in sub zero in the winter for snow removal.

Not sure which brand/model diesel that you have, but most of the smaller diesels only require a CF rated oil. So any of the Amsoil synthetic diesel oils that exceed that rating should be good. And the 10w40 is CI if I remember correctly, so no problem. The 3 cylinder is a low RPM engine and should last a long time with synthetic diesel rated oils.

Vetteman, Its an '04 Branson 40hp turbo diesel 3 cyl. built by Kukje. Heck the owners manual says to use CC or better. So I guess I could just use bar oil and meet their spec. But you still say NO on the AMO for a PSD huh? I believe you cause thats what I keep hearing. The only reason I keep asking is because I heard a rumour that it had been reformulated to meet the CI-4 and the shear strength had been improved.

You are correct the 10W40 is rated CI, but its use in a PSD 6.0 that is known to shear oil is not a top choice. Also I believe the additive package is not as top drawer as the 5W30 HDD and the 15W40.
And I don't even sell Amsoil. I am missing my calling.
