As the title states I am considering Motul 6100 synergie+ and Repsol Elite Multivalvulas both in 10w40 spec. Car in question is a 1996 Honda Civic 1.4i(d14a3, non vtec sohc 16v - same as any d series but 1396cc), OCI is around 5000km (3000miles), car is driven every day in the city for 2x15mins and taken on spirited drives on most weekends so I would need this oil to be good for both if possible. Other oil recommendations are welcome but I would like to stay with 10w40 vsc. Listed below are the specs of the 2 mentioned oils.

Both will work perfect, so you can use the cheapest.

For more info, technical data is not very real. Both are semi-syn. Motul group I/II + III or III.
Repsol real data from Renault papers shows:
HTHS 3.7
Noack 8.9
Ash 1.1
PP -39
100% group III.

Both are on the Mercedes Benz approved list for 229.3, so that indicates a good quality. I would guess the Repsol one is the cheapest?

I used to be able to get the Total Quartz 9000 Energy 5W40 for cheaper than the Motul 6100, if you can I'll suggest this one too.
(I do realize that isn't answering the question)
