I bought this simply to add to my collection of castrol stuff. Found it in an old napa store covered in dust. They actually have a bunch of it still. I know castrol says the date is when it was filled, and last a long time on the shelf. However I'm curious about the date on this one. I know this flavor has been discontinued for quite some time now here in the states, and was replaced with castrol gtx full synthetic in the silver bottle. Thanks in advance.

It appears to be from 548 years in the future...
Not so sure that's the date code. All info online states the location as 'bottom of the back label'.

Do you know that's the oil fill date code, or the date the bottle was made?
Doubt its the date code of the oil. Might be the date of the injection molded container?
