Help me understand what was done to the paint on this Porche Macan

Gents,

Thanks for all the comments. I have never really inspected a wrapped or dipped car.

Of note, this car sold for $18,900 to a buyer from Iowa. After fees, about $2100. With shipping, likely about 23k. My top bid was 15,700 before fees, and I fell in love with the interior of this car. It had the 4 cyl turbo, 23k miles. It spent most of its registered in NY and IL, so that is a negative. Most of the recalls were never performed, primarily fuel pump stuff. As mentioned, the interior was gorgeous and super comfortable. This Mecan had the preferred package.

I was concerned if the exterior was painted, what a job that would be to match. The dipping/ wrapping made me more interested in the purchase.

Glad I didn't win the auction.... kind of.....

The same color? Guess he must really like the dull primer look.

That "flat look" is real popular in Florida right now.

Frankly I think that it looks like a car that was primered in preparation for painting but then they never painted it. And IMO it looks like s***. I think it's perfect evidence that some people have more money than sense.
