bought a 63 C10 yesterday from a friend and it needs to be tuned up and it needs an oil change...wondering what I should use in it? 10w40? 20w50? Ive never owned a vehicle this old so I am needing some suggestions. It's the 235 inline 6. Thanks!

I would run a conventional 10/15w40. I think they would be safe for that beast. See how she does and go from there.
The 235 is a very robust engine, I've had a couple of them apart. I would recommend HDEO 15w40 as probably the best available option.
My vote would also be a 15w40 HDEO

I'd probably go with what the factory recommends, viscosity wise. A 15w seems heavy but, if that is what the factory recommends, go for the Chevron oil.
I would try HM 10W-40 or 15w40 HDEO.
