Help me choose fluids for '94 Jag

Bought a 1994 Jag XJS with the AJ6 4.0L straight six in it about 3 weeks ago. It's in pretty good condition but since I don't know the maintenance history I'm going to do a full change out of fluids - oil, power steering (got a new pump on order), coolant, ATF, brakes, and rear diff. The recommended fluids are all pretty basic.

I'm of two minds on this: either get just basic generic fluids for each OR baby the old girl and get the "better" stuff (redline, amsoil, etc)?

Power steering: same as the ATF.
ATF: Amsoil has two choices, Redline D4, or something local?
Brakes: Requires Dot 4, one online recommendation is for one with a higher boiling point - any superior products here?
Rear Diff: has a limited slip - lots of amsoil choices, redline GL5, or local?

Didn't ask about the coolant since it has it's own section but if ya want to throw in a suggestion I'd take it

+1 on complete fluid change...

From what I've heard Jaguar's are fairly picky.....and particularly "pricey" to repair....so good luck to ya

Since you're in Kansas, I'm guessing you got the "best of both worlds" there.....hot hot summers, and cold cold winters....

You could probably run a 5W-40 safely, year round....but if it gets below zero, maybe check into a 0W-40....

As far as fluids....that's completely up to you. I'm particularly partial to Amsoil and Royal Purple. They both got decent products for this vehicle.

As far as coolant, if you do decide to go with Amsoil, may as well go with their coolant too, if they cut you a deal on bundled shipping

Get anybody's DOT4 fluid.

Use anybody's engine oil in the proper viscosity.

Get a full synthetic ATF.

Use full synthetic in the rear end. Make sure it is for limited slip, so it has the slip additives.
