Help cross reference an oil filter

So I just bought a new to me truck (2023 GMC Sierra AT4 with a 3 liter Duramax). Manual calls for a PF66 oil filter. PPE (Pacific Performance Engineering) has an oversized filter #114000650 for this application that advertises better and more filtration media compared to the PF66 but I was wondering if something like a Fram endurance might be available same size but for a lower price. I emailed Fram but it seems that they were reluctant to tell me what an equivalent oversized filter would cross to.

Anyone have an idea what Fram filter would be equal in size to the PPE filter?

WIX lets you lookup by dimensions. That PPE looks to be about 5" to 5-1/4" tall, yeah ? Closest is a 57014 although the gasket ID and OD are slightly different. That crosses to a PH10951.

You are taking some chances if you cross reference based only on size and threads - there are other specs that need to be met as well. I would run the factory spec filter and rest easy or if you must have a "better" filter then buy the PPE filter that is a correct fit.

Fram extra guard PH12447, Wix WL10351, Champ/Luberfiner PH10066 are about it for now.
