HELP! Ants in my camper van

I have a serious ant problem. I had to park my camper van at my works new location. Now I have hundreds if not more of tiny little ants. These are the real small one's. So small in fact that I didn't even notice them for several hours.

Anyone had this problem before? I sprayed the van four times already with over a gallon of home defense bug spray. I even placed poison ant traps inside and outside the vehicle.

I know how hard it is to get rid of these brats, so I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

And yes, I did remove the source. It was an old toaster oven with bread crumbs still in it.

I take a mortar and pestle, and grind a teaspoon of sugar into a fine powder. Add a teaspoon of dry yeast, and grind to a really fine powder. Make into a paste with about (as little as possible)the same amount of honey.

The sugars won't ferment until they get enough moisture...which they will get inside an ant.

Ants (apparenltly) can't burp.

Get Boric Acid and put it around the exterior foundation, then get a pesticide called ENFORCER. The pesticide comes in bug bomb form and a small vial that you mix with water and spray. Enforcer is somewhat hard to find. You can find it on the internet or hardware stores are another good source for it.

Right now "Seven" is the choice for us but this sounds lots better for the environment.

Buy a can of instant grits. Sprinkel around your the trailer and in ants path! They eat it and feed it to their young! It expands inside of them and kills them. Must be rough not being able to burp!

You used a GALLON of Ortho Home Defense, and that did not do it?

I had a few in my Airstream travel trailer. I sprayed Home Defense along the wall edges, then "bombed" it with "Real Kill" indoor fogger. I also spread different brands of fire ant killer along the perimeter of the trailer and around the tires, jack, and power cord. For some reason ants are attracted to electrical current.

Not uncommon to find them all over the inside of a well pump pressure switch.

Well, I have now used two gallons of Ortho Home Defense and three Ortho foggers. I've even used four poison traps. I still have ants! These little guys simply won't die.

I'm at a loss for what to do. I put enough chemicals in that van to kill an elephant.

Dang, it sounds like those little guys actually LIKE the poison or something. What's left besides napalm?

We had ants real bad at our last house and I found that most of the sprays were only good for a day or so before the stupid ants just blazed a new trail. It was very frustrating.

get a cleaner with d-limolene in it such as ZEP "orange cleaner" from home depot. mix it up about 1 quart to a gallon and spray it everywhere. it's not terribly toxic, it smells good, and it kills bugs like ants and earwigs really well and repels them too. the other nice thing is you can use it to clean up the place while you are at it!

If you can find their main avenue, put a table spoon of boric acid powder (drugstore has) and wait. In a week they should all be gone. I have done this several times and it always works. No other poison needed. No I am assuming the little ants I had are similar to the ones you have and they will eat the powder and take it back to the nest to feed to the others. It makes them bleed to death slowly from the inside. Ha ha.

The ants I had would mine tunnels through the mortar between my bricks to get in the house.
