Help a first-timer replace brake fluid

I'm doing it on my Santa Fe, but I have done it on my moms Kia too.

A bottle of brake fluid is cheap and I can't be bothered buying a new colour each time. My ABS/TCS valve control module is not so I will stick with this tried/tested method that has served me well over the years and is super easy.

& Sirius Satelite Radio for 30 minutes is a great way to pass the time.

Thanks for all the advice, I'll be sure to read up on this before I actually being the process.

After looking at the different methods of doing it, I think I will still use a vacuum pump, probably with some teflon tape. Any advice using one?

I just recently started gravity bleeding the brakes and finishing with a 2 person bleed, or a 1 person bleed using the air lock method. Since I started the gravity bleed, I get a firmer pedal.

Just flushed the brake fluid on wife's Town and Country--first time I've ever done it.

I used a mityvac ($40 at Harbor Freight) and less than 1 quart of fluid. It takes more time to get the car jacked up and the wheels off than to do the actual bleeding. It took me about 2 hours.

I like to drain the whole stayem, close the bleeders, refill the res and open one bleeder at a time. Leaving the bleeder cracked a hair usually percolates little bubbles out.
