Well, if we're going to get into personal mementos , I could donate the top of a piston from a Continental O470, broken off at the oil ring groove, and cleaned and polished, weighs ~2lbs.. Used as an ashtray for too many years. Will clean up nicely in the dishwasher....

If you want granite or marble, you go to a stone supplier, find the perfect stone for your paperweight, and tell the salesperson you would like a sample so you can see how it will look against the decor of your kitchen, bathroom, wherever. Then they hammer you off a piece and you're done. This happens all the time with decorators.

I can't believe someone is about to use a paperweight (must be really windy in that office), and I can't believe that this query has generated so many responses...

Slow news day......

I'm gonna use it to put on top of my external DAC, 'cause it's too small and light; putting a weight on top of it will keep it from sliding away due to the weight of the cables attached to it.
I got that tile-coaster and it works fine...for now...i wish it was heavier and nice looking though.
thanks guys.

old mopar guy: I still would like to have that piston top...how much do you think it will cost to ship? I will pay for s/h if it isn't too much. :)

Probably in a box out in the workshop somewhere. I throw a whole bunch of stuff away several years ago. Hope I didn't include it. I'll look around. I still owe another bitoger a promised piece of fine junque...
