This came up the other day and how many here would take it? I declined it as I have low cost deductibles for general care.. We don't want to go down the negative road...

For $1200 a year you have your max out of pocket paid for in the event you have issues and it continues until canceled..many ACA plans have very high out of pockets like $8 to $10k plus.... yearly.

$100 monthly

OK, so what is your current monthly cost?

What this sounds like to me is a way to backdoor into the old F plan, which was discontinued due to the ACA.
Old F plan holders pay $290/mo but, there is no deductible and no out of pocket, ever (except the premium of course).

I think the term being thrown around at the time was "Cadillac Plan".

My old doc used it often..😆

So, if you can get a Cadillac plan for less then $300.00/mo, I'd say it's a good deal. This depends on your age of course.
Think about it, prostate cancer, Biopsy $9000.00, oop $0!
Radiation therapy? $0.
Stent placement in heart, $0.

I didn't want to scare you....my insurance is fierce....
I once had the dreaded Golden Rule insurance 11 years ago at $300 a month... they paid about nothing but discounted only....my opinion

A heart bypass costs me about $70k out of pocket...it involved two hospitals and a bunch of nonsense... the bills never stopped...

If on the up and up $1200 is a deal
I've been good for years so I passed... but if you are constantly having issues I'd go for it.
