I have two 30” ultrasharp dell monitor that does 2560x1600.

I have a usb c to dvi cable and looks amazing on either. I used a usb c hub or HDMI port with two older HDMI cables on Mac Book pro m1 and it looks a little fuzzy and color not perfect.

Can I use HDMI maybe with more pricey cable or new usb c to hdmi cable and get great quality ?

Or just stick with USB c to DVI cable?

It’s very noticeable because two 30” screens are side by side on an arm.

I am confused, are you using an HDMI cable from the type c hub to connect to a monitor?
Technically speaking HDMI is better and more commonly used than DVI, and I doubt the laptop has an HDMI port.

What HDMI cables do you have?? What is the hub??

It's probably the hub, not the cables. What kind of hub is it?

There's no technical reason for a HDMI or DVI cable to be different at those modest resolutions.

Make sure you have the latest DisplayPort drivers for the USB docking station (hub).

Here's an image from a 14" MacBook Pro 2021 (M1). This is just the right side. The left side has the two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a MagSafe port.

For an earlier Mac I bought a USB-C to HDMI cable. Don't use that for a Mac any more, but it works well with a Chromebook with USB-C ports to display video on an HDMI TV.

Using HDMI port , the monitor was appearing low resolution even with a quality 8k HDMI cable.

I borrowed a USB-c to Display Port cable and monitor looks perfect! I think the key is using USB-C/thunderbolt 4 port on Mac. Thankfully I have three Thunderbolt 4 ports in my work Mac.
