Havoline synthetic?

ive been looking at Havoline synthetic for a whil now, and ive seen a full synthetic they make, that also has seal condioners in it. was wondering if anyone knows if this product is really good for a synthetic? even compared to Mobil 1 and amsoil?
 
It was heavily discounted awhile back at both Big Lots and Autozone, and I got tons of quart bottles at $2 apiece. At that price, it's a really, really good oil.
 
Havoline Full Synthetic contains primarily Group III base oils. Group IIIs, like PAOs, are devoid of the aromatics (solvent-like compounds) that maintain seal condition in Group I and, to a much lesser degree in Group II, conventional motor oils. (Aromatics have ONE desirable attribute - maintaining mild seal swelling and pliability. Other than that, aromatics bring nothing remotely desirable to the table beause they're inherently unstable under heat and are subject to forming oxidation products - precursors to varnish and eventual sludge.) Consequently the synthetic base oils need seal conditioners to avoid oil leakage. Most often the seal conditioners used are select esters - generally carefully chosen to further enhance the finished oil's lubricity as well as providing controlled seal swelling and pliability characteristics.
 
I've used Havoline synthetic 5w30 in my wife's '97 Expedition. It was in the Expy for 3k miles, from late spring until about a month ago. I have no complaints about this oil.

In other words, it's good stuff?
