I tried doing a search but only got threads with the word "Havoline" in it.
My q?.....Since Chevron bought/merged with Texaco how is the quality of Havoline oil? I know Chevron is top notch so i'm hoping it's Chevron in a Havoline bottle.

O'Reilley auto parts has Havoline conventional for $1.99 a qt.,limit 24. I'm sure it's good for 5K mile OCIs,correct?

Just picked up that deal myself. Haven't put it in yet but I started a thread on this question a week or so ago with no bad opinions about it. It was tested by PQIA last year along with all the other major brands and it looks like it stands on par with them. Good Luck!

The search on this site is not very good, use Google and specifically view results from BITOG for the best finds.

Yes, the only way I search BITOG is go to Google and put this in the search box:

That way, you'll only get hits from BITOG.

Read somewhere on here that Chevron was dumping the "Supreme" brand and going with Havoline. All the used oil analysis I saw on Supreme said "Tier 1 Oil". I've still got an unopened case in the garage. It is still available at Costco for $2.08/ qt in 12 qt cases when they do their quarterly sale.

Go grab it!!! Picked up a case myself.--Been using it for years and right now it is what I use in my Buick that has over 205,000 on it. That car has only seen Valvoline,Havoline and a bit of Quaker State Conventional in its lifetime. I will probably be running Havoline in it till it dies as that is the oil that doesn't burn off much in the Buick for whatever reason. I think you will be happy with it and for that price, how could you not be!!!

I snatched some up at Preily i cleaned out their 5w30 stock. It defintely is good oil and for that price you cant even buy supertech at WM. Since Nextgen isnt free anymore I got to find the cheapest oil until the next freebie.
