Does anyone know if the old Havoline 5w20 full synthetic(the ones in the metallic blue bottles, that Big Lots clearanced) are on the thinner side or thicker side of a 5w20. I know their conventional is on the thin side, but I recall this oil being a totally different animal. I have alot of trouble using the search engine on here. Does anybody know, I got about 7 bottles to use up, and wondering if I should use them up in the summer during the heat or wait till fall. When a thinner grade would be better, if there is such a thing as fall in Florida.

We live just a few miles north of the Florida line and got enough 5W20 Havoline on clearance for a couple of oil changes. Our vehicles call for 5W20. Oil seemed to do fine and nothing blew up!

You just reminded me. Last week at the Mt Pocono WM had some Havoline. Didn't stay long enough of what grades they had.

It is a fine oil and I beleive it is not the thin stuff when they switched to deposit shield. I no longer have the spec sheet as it was many computers ago....

I chose not to buy it becuase I got my Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 for 2.84/qt so it was about a dollar more and I went with PP. When I use my stash, I will explore other oils as well.
