Have you heard about this EV study??

I was driving a Dodge charger for many years, but when my life changed and I started to need to travel only 1 KM to a train station and back for work, I realized the cold dry starts in the parking lot would be killing the ICE engine so I sold it and bought a POS Nissan Leaf. I remember telling the dealer I wanted to test drive a POS Nissan Leaf. Having owned one for 4 years, a used EV, I have to say that we started driving that car 90% of the time. The alternate was a Mazda 3, that I love to drive. The fact is, we simply didn't have a need to travel more than 50 km on most days and the EV was super convenient. If long term it's cost effective, can't say. What I can tell you guys is that I enjoy ICE engines, but there is definitely a place for EVs, they're not as bad as I thought.
That’s precisely why my wife’s car is an EV. With as much short tripping as she does I didn’t like the wear and tear on her last car. Now after having it I find it enjoyable enough to drive and cost per mile is low that we’re on pace to at least double the mileage on her car because I drive it a lot now too.

Yeah not buying gas is nice and I don't mind the 30,000 to 50,000 mile transmission oil changes either.

Hey, that’s awesome. I don’t think anyone is against EVs where they make sense to the end user. But just like one-size-fits-all doesn’t work for underwear, it doesn’t work for transportation either. 👍🏻

We are going up in a burning ball of fire within the next 5 years. These people are crackpots that is all. LOL
Perhaps you missed the B? Current science believes the earth will burn up in about 5B years. Maybe 8B years if we are lucky.

Earth will interact tidally with the Sun's outer atmosphere, which would decrease Earth's orbital radius. These effects will counterbalance the impact of mass loss by the Sun, and the Sun will engulf Earth.

C’mon Jeff… I hope you’ll agree that that’s just a wild theory, just like evolution. Since nobody was here at the beginning of this experiment, and all of us will be gone before the end… they can say whatever they want since they can never be proven right or wrong. 🤣
