Has anyone made a maintenance reminder for ATF?

Not every xxxxxk but by using an algorithim using readily available information such as heat and gear changes and mileage.

Both the late model Ford and the 14 year old Caddy have trans. oil life monitors that I will trust.

What if you changed ATF every time you did front brakes? Every deceleration has a re-acceleration with resultant gear changes and extra wear.

If that sounds crazy, I used to wait until my hair was really shaggy then declared my sister needed an oil change. She'd cut my hair and I'd do her OCI, was the same interval.

I change all ATF every 50,000 miles. Either 4 drain fills or a cooler line flush. Works for me.

My Acuras do however I don't know if it's based on mileage alone. I believe it takes in to fact the heat and rpms and other [censored].

The 2005+ Honda Odyssey prompts for ATF changes on the MM. I've seen 2007-2010's prompt for a change in as little as the low 30K mile range. We're talking self-destructing Hondas though!
