I'm normally a Schaeffers kind of guy for my bikes. I use the series 7000 20w-50 in the motors and the #267 in the transmissions. This has worked well for me on several BMWs and a couple of big twin Harleys.
I recently bought a sportster for my wife and now I'm a little concerned. The sportster uses a shared sump for the primary and transmission so whatever I use must be clutch friendly. I will continue to use schaeffers 20w-50 in the motor but I'm afraid of using #267 in the primary/trans box.
Anyone on this forum own a sportster, if so what primary/trans lube do you use? Anyone know how safe the #267 would be with a wet clutch?
Thanks,
RLK
