My wife’s fit started hard shifting today after a recently did a drain and fill with Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal. More likely than not, I’ll drain it out and grab Valvoline Maxlife.

is it a cvt? i recently done two drain and refills on my 16' rogue using Ludegard cvt complete and It has helped with a low rpm around 1500 shudder.

Maybe give the new fluid a week or two. Had hard shifting after a fluid change for about 100 miles, then slowly normalized. THis was a 2002 Town & Country.

Hondas are picky about transmission fluid. I wouldn't use anything buy original Honda fluid designed for the car. Universal fluids are just a compromise made to suit many different cars.
