I am Army, but I respect Marines. In WWII the Germans were downright afraid of US Marines. They had heard the WWI stories from their fathers. A friend was on Iwo Jima on first day. He told me his best friend died in his arms on the beach. That was the only time I ever heard him talk about his combat experiences.

Works at the VA as a nurse.
