Happy 4th! Made in USA cars!

2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP : Wilmington, Delaware: Just got back after a 200 mile top down ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway! My wife hinted at pulling over and putting the top up and turning on the A/C but I pretended not to hear her!

The 4th paragraph. I believe the diesel version is still made in Germany, but most variations are made in the USA by license for Dodge/Chrysler/Ram. If the transmission designation is "Torqueflite 8" it's def a USA built trans. There are also 8HP's made in Kokomo.

All I meant was my particular Ram has a German made transmission. I just thought it was an interesting melting pot of countries. Window sticker also lists it as a $500 option lol, but I agree it is an amazing transmission. Leaps and bounds above that god awful 545RFE my Durango had.

My 300 had a 845RE made in the US, it was also fantastic.

'18 Honda Accord Hybrid, made in Marysville, OH as were the other five Accords we've owned over the years.
Glad to buy something made in my own state supporting workers in my own state.

Had to make my own "Made in U.S.A." license plate frame. Couldn't find one to buy anywhere for my trusty old 2002 Trailblazer. Still going strong. Bought it new in Jan 2002 during GM's "Keep America Rolling" campaign after 9/11.

We have one, made in Michigan. Maybe, and I am not sure, maybe, the next one will be made in Arlington, TX. I'm really torn. I want to get that but feel a bit upset how many things broke, and that it's not even inexpensive to repair a domestic car...

Nissan Rogue: built in USA, but this one was shipped to Canada and driven 15,000 km before importation and ending up in my garage.

GM should have a "Keep America Steering" campaign. Ours had a 10/150 special extended warranty, and it broke year 12 (with relatively low miles). The rack was already replaced when the car was brand new, under 30k.

Can't post my Grand Marquis, it was born in Canada. Sorry.
