Hantavirus

Ummm...note to self...don't even think about considering trips or cruises that tout the term "cruise ship" when in actuality the vessel is tantamount to a Miami ice-breaking yacht.
...that visits Argentina.

It wouldn't be fun to look forward to a nice vacation and end up getting sick. I wouldn't worry about catching it on a cruise ship. My brother and his wife go on about 6 cruises every year and they seem to come back just fine.
 
Further reinforcement that cruise ships are floating rat infested toilets. IDK maybe I shouldn't speak. I haven't been on one but I see the news about norovirus and legionnaires outbreak.

Then you have the MMA fights happening at the buffet line for crab legs. That would be pretty cool to see though, top notch entertainment. Me standing in the corner filming the event for a BITOG post.

Nothing like the above in the real world of cruises.
We've done close to forty of them on various lines ranging from cheap to boutique and have never gotten sick nor seen any sort of fight among the guests.
Flew home yesterday from Barcelona, which we reached on a transatlantic cruise on a mid-priced line that lasted two weeks and involved embarking at San Juan and then hitting Madeira and two coastal Spanish ports and two Spanish islands and then terminating at Barcelona. A nice trip for us and we'd recommend a stay in Barcelona. So much to see. Kind of like Venice on a larger scale without the canals or the overwhelming presence of tourists

The Carnival one I went on in 2018 was very clean. I think it was their newest ship, we're the first ones. But with that said, some humans are just disgusting. Too many people don't wash their hands or wipe down gym equipment after their done, so I imagine that ratio but across 5000 people cramped on a ship.

I was being a little facetious. I'd love to go on a cruise. Transatlantic seems fun.

No joke though, some cruises do look very....unkempt. I was lucky we were in a new ship on her first cruise. Some of the videos I've seen of other ships were much less than stellar.

I'd love to go back on an Alaskan/antarctic cruise though.

I did get a really bad flu/fever the day of loading lol. Like a once-every-three-years type. That absolutely killed the first couple days of the cruise for me. Luckily there's unlimited hot water :D

However, Hantavirus is around here. We always have in CO few cases a year.
My point is that it is nothingburger.
And he wasn’t even infected. It is very hard virus to transfer.

Your correct but I will point out the Andes variant supposedly can spread between humans. Don’t kiss anyone with it.

No, not Covid 19
Corona viruses affect animals and humans since the beginning of time. It's the strain that defines it. Covid 19 was most likely developed in a lab, however no conclusive evidence exists. However for this statement no matter where it came from, there is no link to live stock.
The common cold is a corona virus too.

Completely dried and the virus can’t survive. It has to be wet aerosolized bits of droppings or perhaps direct contact with the droppings.
