I'll probably switch to Syntech ofter this oil change since I already got HM 5w30 and my FL400s filter. I am getting ready for an oil change this weekend.

From what I see thru that fill hole, the engine looks excellent when it comes to being clean. No need for a Gunk Flush. Id do an oil change with 1qt Marvel Mystery Oil, and the rest in a conventional of your favorite flavor. Run it 3000 miles and Dump. Then carry on my wayward son with whatever oil and filter you'd like.

Haha, I love it. +1.

If you use the 1QT of MMO to 4 QT of the usual etc, use a good conventional still. Pennzoil Conventional or Formula Shell are regarded well here. I agree with the above post. You could always choose to use it with a High Mileage oil. If you do, I'd pick Valvoline MaxLife since it's basically the same price as their conventional and worth it if you are interested in a 3k mile clean up.

And to reiterate, no flush additives needed before the change in your case. Fill hole looks good.
