I am currently using 3 different kinds of grease...I am looking to consolidate to a single type of grease for all applications.

I need a grease for the following purposes:

- chassis/u-joint lube
- marine wheel bearings
- disc brake wheel bearings

I am wondering if Green grease would fit the mold or if it a bunch of hype?

OHHH one more thing, I need to be able to buy the same grease in a tub & a tube...It looks like green grease is not available in a small tub???

If not, then name ne a good grease that I can get both ways.

I couldn't find out if green grease is EP rated or if it has moly. Basically, it might be a good grease but not for all applications.

Plenty of good greases available at your local stores.

I sent an email to greengrease and it does not have moly.
So, I can't use it on my slip/shaft joints that require 3% moly.
But, it should work great in ujoints and wheel bearings.

Both of the locally sourced valvoline's durablend and synpower have the moly. Can't go wrong with crc/stalube options either.

I use Magnalube-G in the grease gun tubes. It is available in many different forms.

I got a case of it and some small tubes foe firearms and a pound can also.

We used it at work on the German made Peeners. Moly ran 30 days before the bearings went out. Magnalube-G was still going strong 6 months later. They set Preventive maintence at 6 months.

Never had another problem.

It took me a while to find it at the right price.

Check it out here. http://www.magnalube.com/magnalubeg.html

I use it in everything that needs to be greased that I got. Not waterproof but water resistant. Extreme Pressure rated.

I bought a tube of the Green Grease a while back just to check it out. It is quite tacky and I wouldn't put it in a wheel bearing. Might be OK for other things.

wow thanks for the info (and you too Tempest), that is a pretty compelling story on the Magnalube.
