We have an old 1989 boat that has had milew all over the seats. We tried everything for years but have not been able to get it off.

My wife saw some Tilex spray that said "Root Penetrator & Remover" at Lowe's. We just spayed it on and wiped it off with a spong. Wow! It all came off and looks like a new boat.

Good advice. To add, any bleach-based product works great on boats. I paid $15 for a bottle of 3M Mold and Mildew Remover and the first spray told me it was just bleach. Live and learn.

Works great in tubs/showers as well--a whole lot easier than recaulking. Of course you can home brew it, but I'm not sure what concentration of chlorine bleach would be appropriate. I recently tried 1:4 bleach/water and it didn't cut the turd.

I remember using Tilex - Mold and Mildew remover. It works very well, but also results in corrosion of any metallic parts it comes in contact.

Hmmm... That must be what's going on with the metal in my shower. Oopsie. The corrosion looks worse than the fungi did.

I have some black mold in my front load washer. Its on the rubber thing right next to the door. Any safe recommendations? I've tried bleach, borax, Afresh, on the hot/clean tub cycle with minimal improvement.
