I am going to be greasing the shift linkage and clutch mechanism on a 2003 Toyota Celica GTS 6 spd manual. The people on the Celica forums are all recommending white lithium grease but they are also complaining about the durability of it. I need some suggestions on a durable lube that is not harmful to plastic and rubber parts. Thanks

Is this cable or link-bar design?

For cables, Dow Corning makes an excellent grease called Molycote 33. It is a silicone grease thickened with lithium soap and is designed for use in automotive control cables and in lightly loaded assemblies with plastic gears, such as wiper transmission units.

It's a link-bar. The dealership gave me some grease by a company called Castle. The product is called Muscle Grease. On the can it says it's an aluminum complex grease and the grease is red.
