Grease Gun Refrigeration

I have kept Mystik JT6 green tube in an aluminum toolbox in the sun in July - it never ran … greased several trailers with it … very water resistant

good grease, its a calcium thickened, our local water dept only uses this on valves.

I suggest a grease gun condom. They come in black or green and are very good quality and thick.
Locknlube carries them and are called grease gun barrel cap.

I have a few questions.

1) How hot is it where you live? I've never seen or heard of grease melting in a grease gun in my climate.

2) What level of Hell do you live in?

3) If the grease is liquifying in your grease gun, wouldn't it also be liquifying in the greased places on your car?

4) How well can liquified grease lubricate your car?

5) How well can the car's rubber boots retain liquified grease? Do the boots leak/drip grease?

6) Is there a better grease you could get that won't liquify?

I’ve had leak out of grease guns stored in basements in NJ and PA. Not particularly hot even in the worst part of summer.

For about $7 per tube at my local dealer, it's hard to beat this quality grease for bearings and general lubrication.

No clue on that. #1 would be nice as I can barely get the JD grease through the bearings in a hand-operated bearing packer.
