Hello,
rebuilding a 27yo hirschmann power antenna from a mb, because the shaft was bent and the new one wasn't taking.
Gears are some polymer (nylon perhaps, but no guarantee) mating to a metal worm gear off a motor.
There is a decent light tan grease on various parts, but it is blackish where the gear and metal meet. No notable wear on anything, issue with operation was bent shaft caused the shearing of the shaft leader, putting lots of debris inside.
Grease was fluid and decent after 27 yes. Would like ideas of the best grease.
Old stuff reminded me of lo-temp Mystik grease sold at tsc, but I doubt petroleum was used in there.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!
