Graffiti Taggers

I’d like to thank Kansas City Southern for the rolling canvas trains that hopefully keep it off our buildings …
But, I see the same thing overseas - it seems to line up with just how hardline laws are enforced …

I had an argument one day with a co worker . He thought graffiti was ok . I asked him if he would approve of his own son defacing private property ? He gave me some nonsense about young people expressing themselves , etc. I told him his son would need a beatdown if he got caught vandalizing other people's property . He didn't like my comment . Too bad .

Your right on this. (y)

Fragile expensive things like aircraft should be kept in a secure location. As others said, much worse malice could have been done to it.

I would break every finger if I ever caught a tagger in the process. We have one in my city that has caused tens of thousands in property damage. He has tagged everything from freeway signs to businesses and even people’s property. Do you know how much a fence or a wall cost these days to install? Then you have some low IQ trash of a human vandalize your property. The freeway signs cannot be cleaned because it removes the reflective coating. They have to be replaced.

There was a guy tagging a highway overpass in Florida and got killed when he lost his balance and 5 cars ran him over.

The guy was about 35 years old and had nothing better to do with all his free time.

A lot of the vandalism here is done by a handful of young people with fetal alcohol syndrome disorder (FASD), caused in utero by their mothers drinking.

The children tend to have underdeveloped consciences, high impulsivity, and low IQ, and don't really understand what they're doing or the harm they're causing.

I have no answers ...

We had a local guy here “SUPER” that tagged EVERYTHING. He got caught finally by leaving a receipt behind at the scene and they got footage of him buying the paint. Then they found surveillance footage of his work truck, he was a roofer, near tagged buildings at night. I believe he got 8 years, but had some weapons charges too. What a POS. I hate vandals.

Very interesting. My wife does diagnostic work with tons of "pre-incarcerated kids" in special ed. She hates it when I call them that but can't argue against it. It's not her specialty, but she can spot a FAS kid from a mile away. I did a quick search and saw a reference to a Canadian study that said FAS "youths" are 19 times more likely to be incarcerated than normal.

We had an issue on a local, closed Sam's Club. A 10' wall of pink paint solved it. These clowns won't paint on pink walls. Quick removal also seems to work well, but requires the property owner to get on it.

If "the police can do nothing," wouldn't police cars and precinct stations routinely get tagged?
