Was pulling out of our favorite pizza place and traffic had stopped to let me pull out. Got to the center turn lane and it looked clear. Out of nowhere came a girl traveling mach 6 headed for the light a 150ft away. My wife's car got next to nothing but the other car looked like she hit a guard rail. Like they say'Built Ford Tough'. The saturn driver got a ticket for several infractions and the wife was a bit upset.

So you pulled into progressing traffic, got hit and it's their fault???

Or maybe you can explain it a tad better.

Do we assume you were turning left? Cars from your left stopped for you? Got to center lane and then attempted to merge into moving traffic?

I was pulling out headed west so I could turn south. Saturn was headed north in center turn lane way to early for the light. A witness said she pulled out of a noth bound traffic lane into the center turn lane and accelerated to make the turn light. She was dead at fault and called the cops to come out. Wish I would have had my F-150.

Sorry to hear this. I interpreted your post title as you were "hit on", and was curious about the details.

I see this type of stuff all the time and I can't stand it. This happens all the time. three lanes bumper to bumper during rush hour on a city road, all three lanes with vehicles stop to let a car coming from a store to cross traffic, not to merge in with traffic, but to cross traffic to turn left. Well, with traffic backed up, alot of people drive down the left turn lane to proceed to the stoplight to turn left. this is where the collision happened. This is probably happened in the accident described above.

It has something do do with the traffic flow type of thing . That is why there is a danger exceeding the speed of the flow of traffic.

Oddly enuff she wasn't as far as I saw and the report didn't say she was. The accident report put her coming intoo the turn lane to enter any of the business' on one side but not to make a left turn at the signal. She did whip out her phone to call her gfriend and the cops.

Girl was young enuff to be my daughter if we had kids. She was cute but the eye witness told the cops what she did so seh couldn't put on a show.

I do make things in life interesting for others. They have 'cautioned' me at weight training and cardio to cool it so as not hurt myself.

Absolutly no patients when needed. I went to pull into a southbound lane that had no traffic in it. She glanced into the oncoming traffic lanes but was lucky no one was coming or there would have been a head on for her.

Bums me out in those 5 lane shopping meccas when I'm turning left, one oncoming lane stops to let me go, and all the morons behind the stopper start dodging into the other oncoming lane. If they'd have all just kept coming they'd have cleared out faster and I'd get on with my turn.

I can see how zillions of accidents happen on these sprawly, non-controlled-access highways.

And now for the kicker. I'm sitting in the turn lane getting my bearings. Isaw her car blocking both lanes so a couple of them come around me in the oncoming lane instead of stopping. When all had passed I backed up then pulled in next to her to see if she was alright.

The way I see it the the figure above, the "stopper" is setting "ME" up. Oncoming traffic has the right of way, regardless of how nice "stopper" may want to be to "ME".

Exactly, they are forgetting that in a multi-lane road they cannot enforce their so-called "courtesy" on those behind them.

I had someone blow the horn at me once because I was the "dodger" (except I was already in the other lane), and I'm sorry but in that case I have the right-of-way and I don't have to stop for anyone.

It's all frustrating though.
