Got a surprise email today

From discount tire down in Houston. Thanking me for bringing in my 15 Tacoma for a tire repair. Here’s the kicker the insurance totaled it out due to hail damage. Discount used the license plate and got my information. Needless to say I’m glad it didn’t go to the scrap yard and somebody picked up at auction. I got rid of it with 137K and the paperwork showed 146K. Hope they get more miles out of it. Here’s the valve train at 130K.

After buy it at 30K I ran nothing but Amsoil XL and Lubegard biotech for 5500-6500 oci. I did a few 10K runs with SS 0W30.

Mechanically it ran like a top. It’s been through hell and back though. One hail repair and one ABS harness repair and the last hail event.

I’m assuming the valve train would be just as clean. Yes your right that’s the timing chain, lol.
