This is probably something yous guys have known about, but sometimes, I am an idiot!

I went to a website of a manufacturer (who doesn't matter) to get some info on a piece of equipment (doesn't matter) for the van. I needed some doc support, firmware upgrade etc

They have a Google form for this upgrade support. Otherwise they are a good company, great support.

Not I get NO, I mean no spam phone calls or texts. I mean since maybe early 2024. Something was working.

The very day after I fill out the form I start getting 3-4 spam calls and texts per day. Uggghhhh connected?

Google forms are secure using for years with school and camps etc for kids.

It could be a coincidence, poor data handling from company you did for for or a really low chance that data was breached.

You positive it actually was a Google form and not something posing for it?

It made me log into google and when I brought it up with the company he said it was and that they are changing it

It's either a coincidence or the company you provided your info to sold it, although I doubt it happened that quickly.

I get waves of spam calls, it's really strange. I currently have people aggressively trying to look at my roof for storm damage. Didn't even have a storm...

An insurance agency did this to me. For whatever reason they had me listed as juvier which has never happened before or after that. I then started getting a bunch of spam letters and calls with the name juvier so I know that fatherless rat sold my data but I never signed or agreed to anything nor was I asked. When I realized it months later and called the line was dead. No point in suing.

Probably a man in the middle attack. Maybe the site had some malware. How can you combat this? You can't.

I've noticed this with calling foreign customer service. I think the employees manage to scrape customer info sometimes and send it immediately to a scammer as I have recently received malicious text messages for password requests related to the service I was calling about.

Not saying Google Forms were a problem, just putting out there that...

Google and Google for Education are different products.
