Which to get?

The cheap-[censored] in me will probably go with the HF one, because I always have a 20% off HF coupon. Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know why but I just keep getting them in the AAA magazine.

Does a HF 20% off coupon work in addition to other coupons?

I have a HF low-profile 2-ton jack and a few sets of their 3-ton jackstands with their rubber pads. They haven't let me down so far. The rubber pads are great since they spread the load out more, and protect the car's undersides.

HF doesn't sell the jack I have anymore. Too bad, as it was by far the nicest jack they sold.

The 20% off coopins found in magazines and flyers only apply to regularly priced merchandise. I have read on here a few guys have been able to combine 20% off coopins and sale prices or sale coopins but for the most part I have read that HF is pretty strict about not combining coopins with other discounts. Never hurts to try it though, the worst they can do is say no.

I need to get my entire Bobcat off the ground to do some adjustments and stops its creeping. Its about 6200 lb. so my 1.5 ton Sears jack won't cut it. (But it must be 25 years old and with a little hydraulic jack oil, still going strong). Lets say I won't chance it.

A 3 ton seems the next logical step along with 2 more jack stands.

Would it make sense to order seal kits for down the road when buying the jack? That is if I could find the seal kits in my basement in 20 years.

The 20% can apply to sale items, but not things on sale during special "tent sales". Jacks are excluded from all 20% off coupon from HF. It's in the fine print on every coupon and I doubt you'll get someone to give it to you.

The Big red is very similar to my pro-lift. Decent setup, it's heavy, but then it won't feel like it is going to go anywhere. The release does bind up over time if it is the same. If it has a slow release that would be a plus so it doesn't stick and then release too fast.

The HF jack is decent, both probably come from the same factory, or country at least. As I've said, I've had the same jack for 15 years and it still works decent. I've looked at the new rapid lift jacks at HF and it is a nice feature.

Also, they may have discontinued it, but HF did sell a rubber/plastic pad to fit their jacks for $9.99. It was a nice addition to prevent the jack from marring your car.

Probably says "Pro Series." Not the same jack, but same company in the link below.
