Good grease for flashlight threads?

Wondering what would be a safe grease to use on the aluminum threads of flashlights. All of my torches are bone dry. A friend brought over his Emisar D4V2 and it was greased from the factory and it was super smooth to twist off the caps.

I have some Super Lube that seems appropriate but wanted to make sure.

Why would anything hurt aluminum threads. Use whatever. I would try the silicon brake grease or dielectric grease.

Make sure it's dielectric grease. I used a graphite coating and my flashlight wouldn't work. Only after I wiped the threads clean would it work

Yes aluminum galls very quickly. Besides a grease you can also use a bit of wax as a lubricant.

I always used to apply a little silicone grease on aluminum light bulb threads that screwed into aluminum sockets. Sometimes those would stick so bad the bulb would come apart and leave the threads stuck in the shell.

Yes! Super Lube

Also safe for plastics and rubber caps.
Great for all electrical connections too. Plugs, light sockets in challenging environments.

Here is the Super Lube site.
It's a great product for anything electrical. It's also safe for use in food prep areas.
Furthermore as another mentioned in here, some (many) lubes can damage seals. Super Lube wont but I read silicon seals might be a problem. Best to check their excellent site or contact them.
It's a great "safe" lubricant for many things. Here is the link, no I have no relationship to the company *LOL*

For the record, they have lots of products. This is the one I am posting about

Super Lube will be a great choice. Dielectric grease or silicone grease would also be great options.

Absolutely do not use petroleum jelly, or any other petroleum based grease. I'm making the assumption that there is an o-ring seal next to the threads. There is an o-ring on any quality flashlight I have seen. Petroleum jelly will swell the o-ring, and eventually cause it to fail. Some o-ring materials are impervious to petroleum products, but o-rings made from these materials are less common, as they are more expensive. It is easier to just be smart about what materials you put on o-rings.

Flashlight nerds and I agree; however it's notable that Maglite recommends petroleum jelly.
