Good and Bad Oil Dip Sticks

True, but electronic systems tend to have a self-diagnostic function.
That in mind, that isn't perfect either.

However, with all the people in this world that don't check their oil level, this sensor is better than a dipstick.

May come across as a crybaby but I don't like the several foot long snake in my F150 300-6. I like to pull it out cold, check the level, NEVER WIPE, and reinsert. This snake likes to bind at the dipstick tube entrance so I need my other hand, with a paper napkin, to straighten out the kink so it can reinsert.

Saturn 1.9, dodge 2.5, GM 3.3/3.8, have all been "straight shots" that can do a one-handed napkinless cold read.
